Celebrate Earth Day at Parducci Wine Cellars

As the oldest winery in Mendocino, Parducci Wine Cellars has been making and selling wines using sustainable wine growing and land use practices since the 1930s.

Over the years, they have incorporated and developed many green practices, including supporting local growers, creating re-use and recycling programs, and using green power to become America’s first carbon neutral winery.

So it’s not surprising that they are hosting an Earth Day Event on April 20th.

To start off with, they are opening their organic gardens and offering guided tours to the public for the first time.  The tours, guided by Jess Arnsteen, Edible Ecosystems Manager (don’t you just love that title), will focus on the how and why of creating organic bio-dynamic garden.

The winery comes with farm animals, a plus for those with kids.

And for the adults, wine and cheese pairings featuring Shamrock Artisan Goat Cheeses, herbs from the organic garden, and great Parducci wines.

Located in Ukiah, California, just 2 hours north of San Francisco or 2 hours west of Sacramento.
